When we talk about luxury, real and enduring luxury, there
are names that illicit awe, command respect, and ignite
desire. Hermes. Bottega Veneta. Manolo Blahnik. When the
time arrives when a new baby is about to join the family,
Petit Tresor enters the expectant mother's vocabulary.
Petit Tresor is the pioneer in the Los Angeles shopping destination of
Robertson and Melrose Place that includes Marc Jacobs, Oscar de la Renta and
soon, London's Soho House. Since its opening in 2002, this tiny shop full of
treasures has quietly become the source for sophisticated mothers and those who
shop for them. As its name suggest -- Petit Tresor is French for Little Treasure
- the bounty in this boutique was soon discovered by celebrities Angelina Jolie,
Gwen Stefani, Kate Hudson and Katie Holmes. Expectant mothers were thrilled to
discover that they could find everything they needed in one shop: fine clothing,
handmade furniture, accessories, toys, smart selections of
pediatrician-approved, all natural cleaning supplies for the nursery and that
most charming of European traditions, perfumes for the baby. One can even find
organic mattresses. Petit Tresor is one stop shopping indeed. There is registry
service, nursery consultation and design. Above all, quality is assured and
delivered with attention to old world service rarely found today.

Proprietors Nina Takesh and Samantha Winch met in the prestigious Lycee
Francais in Los Angeles in the 2nd grade. Nurturing a lifelong friendship, both
became pregnant within months of each other. It was then, as the women were
shopping for their own nurseries, they were disappointed when unable to find the
quality of baby furnishings they had been introduced to abroad. The idea to open
a shop to fill with the keepsakes of their own nursery years was born. Soon the
duo was shopping abroad. They found treasures in Paris, Milan and London and
brought their finds back to Los Angeles to present in their new shop.
Introducing interesting items from christening gowns and sterling silver rattles
or English Gripe Water or Sofie the Giraffe, Petit Tresor opens the door to the
world of fine baby furnishings and accessories. Following the success of the
original boutique on Robertson, Petit Tresor has opened a second location in
Brentwood Gardens.
Petit Tresor has become the trusted consultant to a new generation of mothers
who appreciate the shop's attention to detail as they begin the most important
new chapter of their lives. These mothers are ensuring that their babies are
truly born into the lap of luxury and enjoy their first taste of life served on
a silver spoon.
